Sew Cute!

So, look at me! I finally got out the sewing machine and did something creative. Yipppeeee! Yes, there were many, many more things I should have been doing, but I needed to create something.

I didn't have enough of one fabric to make the skirt, so I pieced a second ruffle on. I won't do that again because it is strangely poofy in one place...but it turned out cute enough. I know what I am doing now, so the next one will be better. By the way...if you like to sew, this pattern was free on the internet and very easy...email me and I will send you the link.

I am also getting better at french braids! Cool!! By the way...thanks to my mom...she's awesome for teaching me the basic skills to do these fun things!

OK, what makes this even more hilarious...sent to me by my 70+ year old grandmother! I love how her sense of humor is still amazing. I pray I have her laugh and her joyful spirit when I am her age.

I would post a picture of each of the kids streaking (oh yes, I have them)...but this is the internet...Sorry, no pictures today. Oh, and Jackson in his 8 year old wisdom has decided it is my mission in life to embarrass him daily. Here's to proving him wrong...for today! :)
