Rainy Day Fun!

The past few days have been rainy again. NOT that I am complaining...at all...I love the rain! (except for the part where my children, who have been stuck inside all day, start to drive me insane)

So, we built a fort! It is just a queen sized blanket over our two wing back chairs! Magic...scroll down for a look inside...

I love it!! They had all the pillows from each of their rooms and all their blankets piled inside! This took up hours of their day...designing, building, playing...so fun!

Extreme Weather

So, we did have a little more winter. Last week it was cold and rainy almost the entire week. It was nice to get one last chance to build a fire. Here are the pictures I took of Robbie and Brooklyn...nice and cozy.

After a few cozy fire days, the kids were ready to have warm, sunny, outside days again!! I was too!! In fact...the kids got so crazy inside they even ended up cleaning!

OK, not really...cousin Abbie is very involved in princess stories, so the girls are playing Cinderella!

Finally, on Sunday things started warming up. It has been sunny and warm every day this week! Yippeee. To the park we go...seriously, every afternoon...nothing like a week indoors to get you inspired!

These Boots Are Made for Walkin'....

A friend had borrowed my black boots and returned them a few days ago. They have not found their way upstairs to my closet...so Brooklyn took off her sneakers (see them right behind her) and helped herself to my boots! I wish I had taken a picture from behind...they were all the way over her tiny hiney!! Adorable!

View from the Window

Yesterday, Will and Brooklyn went out to play on the patio. I realized that my new camera will take pictures without reflecting off the glass on our back door...so, I got to steal some shots without either of them knowing. Here's how it went down....

OH NO!!! Whatever will I do??

Will to the rescue!!!

Who has time to wait on a silly boy??

Victorious!
It just cracked me up! Will was going to help her...but at the same time he was very interested in the presentation of it all with his golf club/sword held high! She didn't miss a beat. Those pictures were taken within about 30 seconds of time...B just crawled out of the car...looked at it in a very offended way...and went about setting it right! It didn't really seem to bother Will that he did nothing to help...his "sword" is still high...he is boy...he is victorious!

Goodbye camera...hello CAMERA!!

So, before the last blog post I frantically called Robbie about finding me a card reader for the camera. Why? Because the little connector piece from the cord fell inside the camera! AHHH!!! Turns out, my laptop has a card reader. (yes, that does prove I know nothing about computers and must call my husband for everything technical)! So, I got the last blog post up with photos.

Over the weekend I taught a friend of mine to make the apron dress from the last post. I was so excited to post pictures of my new creation...but...AHHHH, this time the camera would not even turn on! NOOOOOOO! I told Robbie. He looked on consumer reports. Decided on one he liked...I figured I would be several weeks without one as we looked around and made sure...but no, he came home with a new camera last night! YES! My husband rocks!!

So...here's a post to show off the camera and the dress!

I love this picture because of the toes peaking out and the fact that you can see the dimple in her chin. Her dimple is special to me because it is hereditary from my Grandad.
Such a silly girl!! But, at least that gives the effect of the full dress. I love this one! The colors look great on her and I actually got everything right on this one! It is the best thing I have ever sewn!
