I don't know how or why it started, but my Mom and I "get ready" together. I go to her bathroom and we put on makeup, curl hair (for me that is...apply water) and such. It has just always been that way. Now that I have a baby girl, we do the same thing. She takes baths in my tub and sits in my sink while I put on makeup and fix our hair. It is fun to be
girly together. I am sure my Mom started this tradition with me as a bonding experience....honestly, I do it because that way I can get ready AND keep up with Brooklyn. Seriously. If you are currently laughing it is either because you have tried to keep up with her or because you have no idea and should volunteer to babysit her so you can have a little empathy!
When my parents were here for Will's birthday, Brooklyn decided to go be "
girly" with her Nana. Nana comes with some accessories Mommy just doesn't have....like hot rollers! The only fun styling tool Mommy has is a spray bottle. That was once cool, but the hot rollers with their wildly colored clips were just too
enticing. I am not sure if Brooklyn asked for her hair to be rolled...but if she did...kudos to my Mom for not giving in to that request! Here's a little glimpse of how my girl gets her "do"
stylin' in just the right way!
